Moctezuma I (c. 1398 – 1469), also known as Motecuhzoma Ilhuicamina, Huehuemotecuhzoma or Montezuma I, was the fifth Aztec emperor. During his reign the Aztec Empire was consolidated, major expansion was undertaken and Tenochtitlan started becoming the dominant partner of the Aztec Triple Alliance.

Cabuya
Locations

The small village of Cabuya, also known as the gateway to the Caboblanco Reserve, has other attractions apart from the park. There is the unique "Cemetery Island" (Isla de Cabuya) where the local Ticos have buried friends and family for many generations. It can be reached on foot during low tide, but make sure to get back before the tide comes sweeping in, or you'll spend an uncomfortable night.

With the help of biologists and veterinarians they take care of some animals which are vanishing due to hunters. These are some species that are extinct: Tapir, Quetzal, Spider Monkey, Sloth and some birds from the area.
