Hotel Horizontes de Montezuma is a hilltop heaven a good mile north of Montezuma, approx. 140 m above sea level and amidst lush tropical flora and fauna. It is a small distinctive hotel built in Victorian style architecture with seven delightful, high-quality rooms each with private bath, hot water, ceiling fan and balcony with hammock and rocking chairs offering romantic sunrise and sunset views.
It is an oasis to relax and enjoy your vacation or to work and study Spanish in a quiet atmosphere. The annex building also offers a peaceful space for yoga and spiritual retreat groups.
Take a stroll through the abundant and colorful botanical garden. Enjoy the incredible variety of tropical palm trees and heliconias, cashew nut trees and giant bamboo. Watch the humming birds and tucanets, green parrots and motmots flying around the hotel.
Don´t be surprised to be watched by white-faced or howler monkeys while you are dozing in the hammock on your private balcony or while walking through the adjacent private jungle. The patio cafeteria amidst tropical flowers serves delicious breakfast in a luxury atmosphere: home-made wholewheat bread, home-made natural yoghurt, fruitplates, eggs, tropical juices, tasty Costa Rican coffee or tea - just take your choice.
Take a refreshing bath in the hotel pool or just hang out in one of the comfortable sunbeds and daydream. The pool area offers a particularly romantic atmosphere at night: millions of stars sparkle and glisten above you and you can watch the glow and glimmer of innumerable shooting stars as they die away -an unforgettable reminiscence for cold and grey days back home….
